This set includes a plastic repartition plate and a stainless steel gauge with a removable rubber ring.

To control the applied insulation product depth, you need to put the repartition plate on the insulation product and, after removing the red cap, to push the gauge gently, tip first, through the hole in the plate in order to go through the insulating layer. The rubber ring stays on top and in contact with the repartition plate. Then you can carefully remove the gauge so that the rubber ring does not slide. You can finally read the insulating layer depth on the metal rule which is graduated in millimeters, and long enough to instantly read the distance between the tip and the ring.
